Zenobia is a Witch introduced in the Magia Record game who later appears in the anime as well.

Appearance[]
A large female humanoid black skin and a massive vertical eye. Her long and wavy with a beigh color and sand-like. Zenobia's arms are very long sleeves with a big and wide cuff. Zenobia wears a black dress with torso being thin while the bottom melts into sand. Zenobia's body is grainy due her being made out of sand, she resembling that of sand paintings. On top of zenobias head is red bucket and two toy shovels
Description[]
The Sandbox Witch. Her nature is Immersion. This Witch has strong preferences and never compromises. She is trying to build an acceptable sandcastle, but she can never satisfy herself. She has destroyed and rebuilt her castles so many times she doesn't even remember what she wanted to create in the first place. When she does manage to make a nice castle, she feels much better for a while, but ends up destroying it again. She looks like a young lady, but acts like a little child. If she is interrupted when she is playing with her sand, she cries and goes on a rampage.
Etymology[]
Zenobia means "life of Zeus" [1]. Her name is shared with Septimia Zenobia, a Syrian queen.
Zabaii comes from Septimia Zenobia's birthname, Bat-Zabaii, which is presumed to be the name of her unknown father or a distant ancestor.

Minions of the Sandbox Witch. Their role is Toy Trains. These Familiars are always playing amongst themselves. A quirk of theirs is that as they roll around, all of the things on the ground stick to their bodies. As they do this their Witch collects the debris without them noticing. When their Witch is coming up with a plan for her next castle, they come to her aid. But soon they realize that it is impossible to satisfy her, no matter how hard they try, so they get bored and stray away.
History[]
Zenobia first appears in episode 1. In her Labyrinth, Box Wood is shown as an intruder and fights with Zenobia, who defeats her and aims for Iroha and Kuroe afterwards. However, Small Kyubey appears in her Labyrinth and sings so she can be driven crazy. Later, she is attacked by Yachiyo Nanami and is therefore defeated.
Trivia[]
- In the anime, Zenobia was redesigned significantly, such as no longer having the shovels and bucket on her head and her colors were made to be duller.
