Ui Tamaki (環うい?) is one of the characters for Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka☆Magica Side Story. She is Iroha's younger sister.
Personality[]
Ui Tamaki is a nice, cheerful person and doesn't dislike anyone. Ui is Iroha's younger sister. She was born with a disease which could cause her untimely death; Iroha then decides to be a Magical Girl to cure Ui's disease. Ui had recovered, but has gone missing and forgotten except for her older sister Iroha. She was confirmed to be Small Kyubey in Episode 22 of Season 3.
Appearance[]
Ui Tamaki is a young little girl with pale pink medium hair,a pink dress,and dark crimson eyes.
As a magical girl, she has a small black beret-like hat on the side of her head with a large bow of the same colour with several crimson beads in her hair,She wears a dark grey coat with a thick puce white-rimmed stripe at the bottom decorated with frills and a white strap with two white bows on top.underneath her coat is a dark grey shirt that has a white-rimmed frilled collar and her soul gem in the center adorned with a pink ribbon and two golden chains her shirt has 3 golden buttons and a long white ribbon at the back.she finishes her attire with a short puce skirt with white brims and frills at the bottom,grey shorts and grey boots with puce bows on the ankles and thick puce stripes on top with a thin white line on the bottom.
Anime Appearance[]
She first appears when Iroha walks into her room and sees Ui with a dark-black aura and a faceless face, she was sitting at her desk at the other side of Iroha's side.
History[]
Ui Tamaki had a disease since she was born and had to stay in a hospital with 2 other young girls around her age. The 2 girls are named Touka Satomi and Nemu Hiiragi.
While she was in the hospital, Iroha Tamaki often visits her and her friends. Later, she gets suspicious of Iroha because she rarely visits her. When Iroha came to visit her again, she had to leave earlier than usual, Ui and her friends follow her. They got inside of Маруся's labyrinth and saw Iroha fighting the witch. They were scared and concerned for Iroha and wondered if they could help. Kyubey shows up before them if they could trade their souls for that wish.
After learning about the world of Magical Girls, they want to stop the suffering of them turning into Witches. When they finally thought about their wish, Ui collected the despair in every Magical Girl's Soul Gem and her friends turned it into energy. When they thought they were successful, Ui was collecting too much burden that she started turning into a Witch. Nemu had Ui's Soul Gem, nearly having it shattered, she had no idea where to store Ui's soul. After seeing an empty shell of Small Kyubey, she stored her soul inside of him. After the events, everyone except Nemu forgot who Ui was.
Doppel Description[]
The Doppel of suffering. Its form is a happy statue. The master of this emotion shares in all the pain of the ones she loves and takes it on as her own. The pain then takes the shape of jewels, which decorate the Doppel and add to its power. However, as the Doppel cannot move, it cannot avoid attacks, and though it carries a sword and shield, they are there for decorative purposes only.
Abilities[]
Because of Ui's wish for the "power to harvest," she has the ability to collect other magical girls' suffering and harvest their impurities.
Trivia[]
- 環うい (Tamaki Ui) means "Ring" in Japanese.
- In the anime, she does not have any physical appearances due to appearing only as illusion or in flashbacks. The first time she physically appeared was in episode 25.
- Her disease was never explained in full.
