Puella Magi Madoka☆Magica (魔法少女まどか☆マギカ^?) is the manga adaptation of Puella Magi Madoka☆Magica anime series. It was serialized in Honbunsha starting in the February 12^th issue to the May 30^th 2011 issue.

Having watched countless Magical Girls sacrificed for the larger aims of his people, Kyubey is only interested in securing more girls to that end, and Madoka is left with his chilling reminder that she too is destined to be a Magical Girl of incredible power... can Madoka and her friends escape this tragic fate?

Differences from the anime[]

In their worn states, Soul Gems are reddish-pink and shaped like ovals instead of being different from girl to girl.
Kyubey is drawn with facial expressions; however, Hanokage states in the 3rd volume that this is nothing more than a ploy he uses to earn the trust of humans. It is also stated that his eye colors change according to his emotions.
- Notably, other manga adaptions do not feature Kyubey with facial expressions.
The weapons of each girl look different due to being based on the prototype weapon designs.
