Null Magical Girl was published in the Puella Magi Madoka☆Magica 10th Anniversary Book, with releases of each chapter corresponding to the releases of each volumes of the Anniversary Book. The first chapter was released on June 25th, 2021, the second on September 7th 2021, and the third and final on December 25th 2021.

Kosane Kiriha (霧羽こさねKosane Kiriha?)
A 24-year-old girl who has finished college but is unemployed. She is depressed and is suicidal. She actually has no brain but only a few braincells planted by Kyubey, which is the only thing that help her think.
Eruna Kiriha (霧羽えるなEruna Kiriha?)
Kosane's twin sister who died at birth. However, Kosane kept seeing her as an imaginery friend when she was younger and despite that she should have been dead, Kosane receives a letter from her.
Kyubey (キュゥべえ?)
A small cat or rabbit-like creature that had approached Kosane 10 years prior to the novel's events to make a contract with her, however since Kosane had no soul, Kyubey couldn't form a contract but kept monitoring her.

- According to a tweet from the publisher, "非" kanji's atypical reading as "null" (ナル?) is a reference to a certain widescreen baroque text. That description matches The World of Null-A, null A no sekai (
非 Aの世界?). Addiotionally, the story features a supposed utopia in which those with superior understanding and mental control are the ruling class over the rest of society.
