Momoko Togame (十咎ももこ, Momoko Togame^?) is a supporting Magical Girl in Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka☆Magica Side Story.

Bio

Appearance

As a civilian, she is a teenage girl with reddish-brown eyes and long blonde hair, which she ties into a ponytail with a red scrunchie.

As a Magical Girl, she wears a tight white tunic which opens up in front to reveal a dark cropped top that exposes her bellybutton and a dark collar with ruffles at the end secured around her neck with buttons. She has tight pale green sleeves visible on her arms which extend into golden, green-trimmed cuffs and dark brown gloves. She wears a translucent ruffled skirt around her waist that opens up in front revealing her lingerie which is a dark green color, an armor plate skirt, and a loincloth with its ends covering her lower front and back with a large white bow above her waist behind her. She also wears green socks and thick white boots. She wields a large machete with one side curved inward.

Personality

Momoko is kind, friendly, and caring, often acting as a strong older-sister figure to her peers. Acting as the most mature member of the group, Momoko often looks out for her fellow Magical Girls. Being the middle child, Momoko was influenced by her two brothers' boy-ishness, but she loves cute, girly things like stuffed animals. Because she loves cute things, she's also a fan of female idols.

Etymology

Togame (十咎) means "ten mistakes".

Momoko (written as "桃子") means "peach" and "child".

Backstory

When Momoko made a contract with Kyubey, she had simply asked for the courage to ask out a boy she had a crush on. Unfortunately, due to awful coincidences, another girl confessed her feelings the boy before Momoko got the chance to, and he agreed, essentially meaning that Momoko made her wish for nothing.

Sometime after, she began to cooperate with four other girls: Yachiyo, Mifuyu, Tsuruno, and Mel. They would soon become friends. However, Tsuruno is forced to stay at her family's restaurant as the others go hunting for grief seeds. Despite Mel's positive fortune, the group struggles against an evasive witch that nearly kills Yachiyo. However, Mel sacrifices herself for the group's sake. This results in her turning into a witch. Momoko is enraged at Kyubey and the others for this, resulting in her leaving.

According to Rena's side story, sometime after Mel's death, Momoko and Rena would meet at an idol concert and begin to work together as magical girls. This would result in the younger girl becoming attached to the other. Kaede would later join the team after Momoko finds her in a labyrinth.

Doppel Description

"The Doppel of Self Discipline. Its form is manicured nails. The master of this emotion cares not where its power fly. This Doppel attacks with its huge fingers, along with the many fingers that fly around it. All the nails on the fingers are polished and decorated. It cares very much about its nails. When someone praises them, it becomes quite happy, but when someone says something bad about them, it gets discouraged and depressed. It is quite troublesome to deal with when this happens, so it is a good idea to let it attack the enemy as soon as you summon it."
