Kazuko Saotome (早乙女和子?) is a supporting character in the Puella Magi Madoka☆Magica anime and manga series. She is the homeroom teacher for class 2A at Mitakihara Middle School.

Kazuko has short light fawn brown hair with red glasses, she wears a grape purple button down shirt with a pastel green cardigan on top and a white skirt, light peach pink short socks and black sandals
Personality[]
Kazuko is a kind teacher who cares for her students but isn't good with relationships. She tends to complain about her failed romances to her class and overanalyzes things.
Etymology[]
Kazuko (和子?): Kazu (和?) means "harmony"[1] and ko (子?) means "child".[2]
Saotome (早乙女?): Sa (早?) means "early; fast"[3], Oto (乙?) means "the latter"[4] and me (女?) means "woman".[5]. Altogether, 早乙女 means "young girl"[6]

- Junko Kaname: Kazuko and Junko are good friends as seen in episode 11. Kazuko and Junko are open to each other and tell whatever's on their mind.
- Nakazawa: Kazuko always picks up Nakazawa to answer her questions in class that regard romance and relationships.

- According to episode 1, she never had a relationship that lasted more than three months.
