A manga adaption was made for the movie lasting for nine chapters and three volumes (three chapters per volume). It was created by Hanokage, who also made the manga for the original series and they were punlished by Houbunsha starting with the first volume on November 12, 2013, then with the second one on December 12, 2013 and finally on January 10, 2014.
The manga is faithfully following the movie's scenario with the addition of some new scenes.
A manga prequel to The Rebellion Story is published and it's named Puella Magi Madoka☆Magica: Wraith Arc. It explains the events after the anime's finale and before the beginning of The Rebellion Story.
