It's Proof of the End of a Friendship is the second episode of the Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story anime.
Summary[]
Iroha remembers that her wish was to cure her younger sister, Ui’s, illness; however, there is no sign of Ui’s existence in her life. She goes to Kamihama City to find clues about her, but is attacked by a Witch and subsequently saved by a trio of Magical Girls, Momoko, Rena, and Kaede.
There is a rumor going around about the Friendship Ending Staircase at Rena and Kaede’s school. Momoko and the others believe that a Witch is involved in the rumor, so they’ve been investigating it, but…

- The announcement heard in the bus scene refrences the story heard by Yachiyo in episode 4.
- For the entirety of the episode, Rebecca's name is spelled as "Rebekka".
- According to Kaede, it has been a week since the three found any traces of the Rumor of the Breakup Staircase.
- At some point in the scene in Satomi Medical Center where Iroha is shown talking to the reception about Ui, the number 168 is shown, which can alternatively be read as "Iroha".
- For the entirety of the Gauche Burger scene, the place the four girls are sitiing in has a lot of visions of bunnies. Coincidentally, the trio's mascot is a bunny.
- There is some uncertainty about Kaede's wish. Rena states that her wish was to protect her family harden but in the game, her wish is revealed as "The construction of those apartments...I wish they never started!" even though it was still about protecting her family's garden.
- The names of Kaede's pets are mentioned by Rena during their fight.
- Up till the episode's events, there have been three pairs of people who have written their names in the staircase, with three of them being kidnapped, according to Momoko.
- Before the scene in the Game Center in Sakae Ward, some familiar locations are shown from the game used as backgrounds.
